Technology
The technological vision for Tesseract School is to infuse technology into students’ daily lives by integrating it into the curriculum. This includes utilization of 3-D software, digital portfolios, PowerPoint presentations, podcasting, and online research and collaboration, enabling students to connect with people locally and worldwide, such as in our Spanish and Mandarin programs, where students can speak directly with native-speakers via video conferencing with Skype, or in humanities, where students can collaborate on projects remotely through Google Apps.
Through Tesseract’s one-to-one laptop program, each high school student is provided with a MacBook computer equipped with all of the necessary software and applications to meet each class’ objectives. These computers stay with the students throughout each school year and are given to them upon graduation.
