Student Government
Participation in student government provides leadership experience and a feeling of empowerment for students, enabling them to share the student body’s thoughts, interests and concerns with the faculty and administration.
Tesseract’s growing high school student government focuses on organizing social service and fund- raising events for the student body. In addition to organizing dances and off-campus events, the student government supervises the creation of the school yearbook as well as refreshment sales at athletic events. Through weekly meetings with the director of high school, the high school co-presidents work to keep the student body informed and to help direct the program’s development, such as helping determine the elective offerings for the 2009-2010 school year.
Participating in student government helps students become responsible, active participants in the Tesseract community, preparing them for leadership opportunities in college and beyond.
