Service Learning
At Tesseract, service learning is an integral part of the school's curriculum for students in all grades. Through Kids Who Care, Tesseract’s school-wide service-learning program, students learn the importance of being an involved member of both the local and global community.
The Kids Who Care charities that Tesseract’s students and educators have selected expose students to a wide range of organizations, enabling them to develop a broad base of skills for problem solving and citizenship.
Through Kids Who Care, students devote time to service-learning projects geared to their ages, their classroom curriculum, and for older students, their passions, such as reading to children at Golden Gate Community Center or delivering, sorting and boxing food for families in need at St. Mary’s Food Bank.
