Technology
At Tesseract School, we believe the use of technology in education should be incorporated with the curricular goals of the classroom, not focused on the technology itself. Supported by our IT specialists, educators are encouraged to integrate technology into their curriculum to enhance their teaching methods, cultivate student creativity, and enable students to become knowledgeable, successful users of information technology.
Online research and collaboration, SMART Boards, the TI Navigator system, PowerPoint presentations, digital portfolios, podcasting, Moodle, 3-D software and more are utilized throughout Tesseract’s middle school. Classrooms are equipped with installed projectors and computers, and educators and students have access to five wireless laptop computer carts. Tesseract middle school students utilize a variety of online communication and research tools as well as more interactive multimedia including virtual environments, podcasting and video production.
