TESSERACT SCHOOL EXPANDS
EARLY CHILDHOOD PROGRAM;
NEW MORNING OPTIONS OFFERED
PARADISE VALLEY, ARIZONA—May 20, 2011—Tesseract School has expanded its early childhood program to include two- and three-day per week morning offerings with the start of the 2011-2012 school year.
“We have always had Monday through Friday full- and half-day early childhood programs, but many families have been inquiring about a two- or three-day program versus one that is a full week,” noted Scott Salk, Tesseract’s director of admissions. “To support this need, we are offering that as an option for the upcoming school year.”
Tesseract’s early childhood program provides age-eligible children who are ready for a school environment with an integrated, thematic curriculum that is a balance of social and academic experiences. These experiences are enriched with music, art, physical education and Spanish, as well as play time. The program utilizes the Responsive Classroom approach throughout each day, helping to build and enhance children’s social skills, and Jolly Phonics to start building the foundation for reading and writing in a fun, multisensory and age-appropriate manner.
“Our two- and three-day morning program offers the same philosophies, curriculum, special classes, small-class sizes and low student-to-teacher ratios as our full-week program, just in an abbreviated manner,” said Salk.
For more information about Tesseract’s early childhood program, please contact the admissions office at 480.991.1770 or e-mail dkuhn@tesseractschool.org. The application deadline for the two- and three-day program is June 17, 2011; all children in the early childhood program must be at least 3 years of age by December 31, 2011.
