Upper school students have a keen awareness of their identity, and are seeking to understand their roles in society. By developing compelling and authentic connections between Tesseract and the larger community, our program helps students connect their learning and individual interests to the world around them. The three-day all-school convocation, advisory projects, environmental monitoring, interim projects, and national and international grade-level trips are all important elements of the school’s larger goals, which are to help students recognize real-world uses for study and learning, to encourage them to develop an ethical connection to the local and international communities — including a sense of environmental responsibility — and to prepare them for success in an increasingly globalized world.

For a detailed description of the all-school convocation, advisory projects, environmental monitoring, interim projects, and national and international grade-level trips, please download the "Trips and Projects" PDF below. Student and faculty input will be an important component in refining upper school trips and projects.  Be sure to periodically visit this page for more updates as our program continues to develop.
