The Arts
Tesseract students are encouraged to explore and develop their artistic interests through participation in chorus, drama, visual arts, and music classes. From designing a permanent art installation for our middle and upper school campus to performing in a rock band, our electives are designed to capitalize on student interest while broadening student experiences. These socially interactive classes will naturally extend into the after school hours where students will work closely with faculty on performances and projects.
Athletics
Being a member of a team instills values that follow students into college and beyond. At Tesseract, the athletic director, coaches, student-athletes, and parents work in unison to provide an athletic program that balances camaraderie with physical achievement. As a member of the Charter Athletic League (CAL), ninth-grade students will have the opportunity to compete in a variety of sports against similarly-sized schools. Starting in 2009/2010, Tesseract will be a member of the Arizona Interscholastic Association (AIA) athletic league enabling students to compete with a broad array of both private and public schools in Arizona. All ninth-grade students will take a general PE course, which will present the skills and techniques needed for successful team and individual athletic sports.
