The Tesseract Extended Day (TED) Program is a convenient service for busy families who may not be able to pick their children up exactly when the school day ends. TED was created with your child's continued development in mind. There are several options, so that you can make the choices that fit your family's needs. Our experienced and knowledgeable staff are all hired with the Tesseract philosophy in mind. The Tesseract Extended Day Program strives to provide the best quality after school program in the Valley. We offer an enticing array of fun and interesting programs designed for your child's interests and your after school care needs.

The extended day hours are:

• Monday - Thursday: 3:30 - 6:00 p.m.
• Friday: 1:30 - 6:00 p.m.

There are three aspects to extended day: before school, after school and enrichment programs.

Before School Extended Day Program

Children may arrive no earlier than 7:15 a.m. There is no charge for this service.

After School Extended Day Program

Begins at 3:45 and runs through 6:00 p.m. The extended day enrollment fee is required for any child to attend the after school program. A flat fee is charged per child/per session, regardless of how many hours your child remains at the school each day.

2008/2009 Extended Day Sessions

Please note extended day registrations will be available three weeks prior to the start of each session. Registrations are due to the front office no later than one week prior to the start of the session. Late registrations will be assessed a late fee of $5.00 per day.

Refunds

Refunds will be issued on a case to case basis, with review by the extended day supervisor and coordinator. Refund request forms are available in the front office. Refunds will not be accepted after the second enrichment class, or second full week of extended day. All Enrichment class refunds will be prorated and will also be assessed a $25.00 processing fee. Any students dismissed by any enrichment class or the extended day program will not be refunded. There will be an additional $50.00 refund fee for the Swim/Tennis program on top of the $25.00 processing fee

Call In/Drop In
Any child who is still at school at 3:45, will be charged the extended day fee for that day. Children who are not enrolled in extended day may participate as a "drop-in," if space is available. The daily drop-in fees are as follows:

All students who will need to drop in to extended day will receive a $5.00 per day discount if they are called in by 2:00 p.m. that day. Students dropping in with no notice will be subjected to a higher rate. Any students on campus who are not participating in tutoring will be written in as a drop in. However, if your child is at tutoring and then drops into extended day, there will be a drop in charge, regardless of how long they are in extended day. Parents are given a 30-minute grace period to pick up their child each day as listed above, and then will automatically be placed on our drop in list, regardless of how long they stay in the program.

Late Pick Up

Students picked up after 6:05 p.m. will be subject to a $20 late fee.  Students who are dropping in that day will be charged $25.00 for late pickup.

Homework Club

Homework Club will be available for all students registered in our extended day program, and will be available for drop in students at an additional $5.00 per day. Homework Club will run Monday – Thursday from 3:30 – 5:00 p.m. Parents may sign up for Homework Club by selecting the appropriate box on the registration form. If you sign up your child for Homework Club, students will be brought to Homework Club each day unless they have an enrichment or sports activity.  Students will have a chance to do homework in a quiet environment, and when finished they may rejoin extended day. Students with no homework will stay with the main extended day group. Students who are disruptive will be subject to our three strike disciplinary plan. If any student receives more than two “three strike” occurrences during any school month during Homework Club will no longer be able to participate in the program.

Enrichment Programs

The school offers many interesting and fun after-school activities and classes as part of the enrichment program. Class selections vary throughout the year. The fee(s) for on-campus enrichment programs are in addition to the extended day program fee.

Our Enrichment Programs will run three consecutive sessions:

September 8– November 28

December 1 – March 6

March 9– June 5

Registration will be available three weeks prior to the start of each Enrichment Session.  Registration forms will be due to the front office no later than seven (7) days prior to the start of the class. The result of late registration will be a $5 late fee per day. Registration is due one week prior to start date to allow our Extended day vendors to properly staff and have enough materials for all students attending. Many of our vendors require a minimum number of students to be registered in order to be able to run a class. All classes have a maximum number of students, so early registration guarantees a space in the class. Students who are not enrolled in extended day will automatically be registered in extended day during the course of their enrichment class, unless the class is offered off campus.
